Key Components of a Semi Automatic Liquid Weight Filling Machine
1.Frame / Main Body
Sturdy stainless steel structure providing stable support and durability.
2.High-Precision Weighing System
- Load Cell (Weighing Sensor): Core component that continuously measures the combined weight of the container and liquid.
- Weighing Controller / Indicator: Receives sensor signals, calculates weight, and controls filling. Often equipped with a touchscreen for setting target weight, filling speed, and other parameters.
3.Filling Head and Valve
- Selected based on liquid properties (viscosity, corrosiveness, foaming). Common types include gravity valves, peristaltic pump valves, gear pump valves, screw pump valves, and pneumatic ball valves.
- Usually made of stainless steel (SS304/316) for corrosion resistance.
4.Liquid Supply System
- Includes storage tanks, piping, filters, and pumps .
5.Control System
- PLC or embedded microprocessor acts as the machine’s brain, with an HMI touchscreen for easy operation and parameter adjustment.
6.Operating Components
- Foot switch, start button, and emergency stop switch for safe and convenient operator control.
Core Working Principle of a Semi Automatic Liquid Weight Filling Machine
The operating principle is based on gravimetric (weight-based) feedback control, ensuring high filling accuracy and consistency.
Container Placement:
- The operator places an empty container—such as a pail, bottle, or can—onto the weighing platform of the filling scale.
Tare Weight Compensation:
- The system automatically detects and subtracts the container’s tare weight, ensuring that only the net product weight is measured.
Filling Start:
- The operator initiates the filling cycle using a foot switch, push button, or manual lever.
Two-Stage Filling Process:
- Fast Filling (High Flow Rate):
The filling valve opens rapidly, allowing liquid to flow into the container at a high rate until approximately 90%–95% of the target weight is reached. - Slow Filling (Low Flow Rate or Drip Filling):
As the target weight is approached, the system automatically switches to a low-flow or drip-filling mode to fine-tune the final weight. This design effectively minimizes impact force, splashing, and weighing errors, ensuring precise filling.
Completion and Stop
- Once the preset target weight is reached, the filling valve closes completely.
Container Removal:
- The operator removes the filled container and places the next empty container onto the platform, starting the next filling cycle.
